Rise In Hope is a youth-centered art and culture organization dedicated to empowering young people through creativity, expression, and community.
We believe that every young person deserves the chance to rise, dream, and build a brighter future no matter where they come from.

Art gives voice. Culture gives identity. Hope gives direction.

Rise In Hope was founded by Richard Ngombe Yumba, a Congolese visual artist who grew up between DR Congo, Uganda, and now Norway.
After teaching himself art without money, materials, or formal schooling and later teaching children and youth in Uganda Richard realized one thing:

Creativity can change a life.

He created Rise In Hope to give young people the opportunities he never had:
art programs, safe creative spaces, cultural connection, and a platform to express their voice.

Today, Rise In Hope bridges cultures between Continents, using art and culture as a universal language of healing, unity, and empowerment.

Youth Empowerment

We help young people build confidence, identity, and creative skills through art workshops, mentorship, and community programs.
